Set Up Standalone Mode in Minutes
- From the idle Receiving Mode screen, press Cancel (red X).
- Choose PIN Pad Type, then press 1.
- Select Standalone (or press 2 to convert the PIN pad to standalone).
- When the confirmation prompt appears, select Yes.
- The device will automatically check the Ethernet connection, then reboot. After a successful check, it starts in standalone mode and shows the EPI screen.
Note: VL300 is designed to operate as a standalone PIN pad (not just a companion device) when configured this way
Credit Transaction Made Easy
- Enter the transaction amount and tap OK.
- On the Present Card screen, swipe, insert, or tap the card. You can also start typing the card number for manual entry.
- Sign and add a tip, if prompted.
- Select the receipt delivery method.
Process Smooth Debit Transaction
- Tap Credit until Debit is displayed.
- Enter the transaction amount and press OK.
- Swipe, insert, or tap card on the Present Card screen, or enter card number for Manual Entry.
- Enter PIN and tip if prompted.
- Select the receipt delivery method.
Hassle-Free Void Transaction
- From the main screen, press Sale until Void appears, then tap OK.
- When prompted, enter the authorization password.
- Choose how to locate the transaction, by Transaction Number or Card Number.
- Enter the transaction number or the last four digits of the card, as requested.
- Review the transaction details on the screen and confirm to complete the void.
- Select the preferred receipt delivery option.
Quick and Simple Refunds
- Press Sale until Refund appears, then tap OK.
- Enter the refund amount and confirm.
- When prompted, enter the authorization password.
- On the Present Card screen, swipe, insert, or tap the card, or manually enter the card number if enabled.
- Choose how the receipt should be delivered to complete the refund.
Simplified Credit Preauth
- Press Sale until PreAuth appears, then tap OK.
- Enter the authorization amount and confirm.
- On the Present Card screen, swipe, insert, or tap the card, or manually enter the card number if enabled.
- Select the preferred receipt delivery method to finish the preauthorization.
Complete Capture Preauth In Seconds
- Press Sale until Ticket appears, then tap OK.
- Enter the capture amount and confirm, then enter the authorization password when prompted.
- Choose Transaction Number or Card Number, and enter the transaction number or the last four digits of the card.
- Review the transaction details on the screen and confirm to complete the capture.
- Add a tip and collect a signature if required, then select the preferred receipt delivery method.
